The generous size of the 24 Litre means it is particularly suited for use in areas generating large volumes of sharps waste.
The large horizontal opening allows waste to go in without contaminating the sides of the product and allows disposal of long instruments. The containers hold as much as 20% more material than other products of a similar nominal size which have vertical-feed type openings.

The 24 Litre flap prevents overfilling whilst covering the contaminated waste.
