Originally founded in 1966 and making a wide variety of plastic moulded items, Frontier was the first to recognise the need for a purpose designed container for the safe disposal of clinical sharps, and the original Sharpsafe container was launched in 1980.
The original concept has continually evolved in line with healthcare requirements and legislation, and now covers the safe disposal of clinical sharps in all clinical circumstances. Sharpsafe is now exported to over forty countries and is manufactured under licence in the United States of America.
More Sharpsafe are used across the UK and Europe than any other sharps container.
